Going Green

I'm not one of those crazy people who are all about saving the Earth, but since i was a child my mother has always made a big deal about recycling. Recently my parents surprised me with a new 2008 Toyota Prius. I have to say after one long drive i immediately fell in love. Gas is soo cheap and you rarely have to get. Just a thought for all you gas guzzlers out there.

VMA's 2007

How horrible were the VMA's last night? I am definitely too old to still be watching them but i did try to sneak a peek. Not only were the performances disappointing but the overall show as well. This is becoming an all time low for MTV who couldn't even get good celebrities to show up. What on Earth was Jaime Fox yelling into the mic half of the time? Could he be any more annoying? Doubtful.

Rum Diary

Last night i finished the book Rum Diary by Hunter S. Thompson. I haven't read the book since I was in high school and it inspired me to study english and journalism in college. At times reading it I found myself embarrassed by the content as though i was there and uncomfortable by what was actually going on. The ackwardness at times was brilliant and his humor never missed a beat. It is still one of my favorite books and I am ashamed it took me so long to re read it. Definately a classic.

I have never been an advid youtube watcher but I am obsessed with the new movie Superbad. I hate seeing movies when they first come out but its always nice to get to see trailers. Here is an unedited version of Superbad which kinda reminds me of the classic "Super Troopers".

Sell Out?

I remember when Courtney Love first said she was going to sell Kurt Cobain's diary entries. I was appalled and excited at the same time. Reluctantly when i saw them on sale I thought I might as well and after reading it I wish I didn't. Now Courtney (clearly in need of cash, as if her daughter is going to college) is going to sell Kurt's flannel shirts and other normally worthless items.

Wedding Crashers

By the way, how stupid does the new TV show The Real Wedding Crashers sound? (Naturally the untalented Ashton Kutcher ripped that off) I mean seriously why must they ruin a good thing. Anytime a movie or TV show does well they milk it and for some reason people find it funny to imitate the characters. Like the Borat movie, I first saw it after the whole phenomenon and it was beyond stupid to the point of it not even being funny, not to mention he speaks in Hebrew often. Or should I even mention the Ace Ventura movies. You know who you are and the phrase "Alrighty then" was beyond used and abused.

McIsrael

I was recently in a McDonalds in Israel and for the first time and if you look closely enough number 10 is a McKebab and 7 is cornsticks (whatever that is). I just thought this was necessary to share with everyone and anyone.
